Makivik extends a special thank you to Bell Canada for supporting Nunavik Youth

Montreal,Quebec February 19, 2009 – Bell Canada has announced that they are sponsoring the 2009 Regional Atoms Hockey Tournament in Nunavik.

Kuujjuaq will be the host of the tournament, which will take from the 13th to the 17th of April 2009. The age group of the little league ranges from 9 to 10 years old. All fourteen communities in Nunavik are involved in the tournament.

Makivik President says “This is a great way for big companies to support our local and regional sporting activities that take place on an annual basis. It is good to see a major company give a helping hand to our Nunavik youth. I am very pleased that Bell Canada was able to sponsor the 2009 Atoms Regional Hockey Tournament”.
