Makivik Corporation mourns the loss lose Kusugak who passed away at the age of 60

January 19,2011 Kuujjuaq, Quebec- On behalf of Makivik Corporation and the Inuit of Nunavik, the President of Makivik, Pita Aatami, extended his sincere condolences to the family of Jose, especially his wife Nellie, his children and grand children.

“Jose Kusugak was a great leader, his contribution will leave a major heritage to the Inuit.” Added Mr. Aatami. He was a trailblazer for Inuit, for our language and was instrumental in supporting Inuit to develop their own vision as a society. Jose was an example of tenacity, showed strong leadership in supporting the Inuit of Canada in laying the foundations of a new Inuit society.

Corporate Objectives
