Social DevelopmentMakivik's wide ranging mandate means we take care of the Inuit beneficiaries of the JBNQA. We do this in many ways, from having a full-time Youth Officer, to ensuring that any social issues affecting our people gets a hearing. Since the creation of Makivik Corporation we have made donations to many groups and organzations in the Nunavik region. From 1978 to 2000 these donations were close to $60-million. In this area you will find sections on the youth of Nunavik, and specific social development projects. |
